Lee & I went to see the Black Lips play at Boule Noir last night. So Much fun. It's my first concert since i've been in Paris, I definitely missed seeing live musiq. Anyway, it was a very eventful night! Parisiens are much more into jumping around & such at concerts than any show i've ever seen in LA, SF, NY; they don't seem to pull the whole 'i'm too cool' for the scene thing. We saw a fight outside the club, I bailed... HATE FIGHTS! We ran into my friends Nancy & Jonny from SF on the street, so random. Then we headed back twards home to the Hideout to meet up with everyone from CEA. They bar was really fun, & if you ordered a Jagger bomb, they lit the bar on fire. So cool!

R O S E Gelato
I N S A N I T Y
Techno Fest was this weekend. It's a big parade that starts at the old Opera house at 12 & then makes its way to the Bastille at about 5. A bunch of us caught up with it in the Bastille. It was wall to wall people. You could feel your entire body move with the deep base that was ecoing throughout the Bastille. I didn't end up getting home till very late that night, cause after the parade we decided to go karaoke

Mystery Tour
Yesterday our program took us on a secret excursion. We all woke up early (7:30,def the earliest anyone has woken up thus far) and we found out we were going to Deauville. The American Film Festival was taken place while we were there. Edward Norton & some French film stars were there yesterday, though I didn't actually see them. We walked around town all day and ate Moule Frits. Mmmmm!!! Since Deaville is known as the "queen of the Norman beaches" we though it was appropriate to buy a bottle of champagne and sit on the beach. Matt, Melany & I decided that sitting was no longer fun & drop down to our underwear & went swimming. So A M A Z I N G.
Stuck in an elevator
SO.... I GOT STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR! For and hour and a half. We were leaving Matt & Lee's apartment and of course we were lazy and didn't take the stairs. Next thing I know the thing stopped and we couldn't get out. Apparently, this sort of thing happens in France all the time. They were in no rush to get us out. We were told since the Pope was in town it might "take awhile".
Eggs Benedict XVI
Big popa visited Notra Dame the other day and people be going CRAZY. I couldn't get around town. Metros were closed down, the route to school was blocked, had to even get my bag checked just to walk down the street to school. My Sorbonne classes are right next to Notra Dame, so we got a bird eye view of the madness from the second floor of our classroom. It got so loud that our teacher let up out early. Thanks Benedict!!!

Family dinner
At least 2-3 times a week Matt, Lee, Aly, Noah and myself make dinner. We alternate who's cooking (although Aly and Matt aren't really allowed to cook), we drink some wine and enjoy each others company. Last week Meggie invited Lee and myself to her place for their family dinner. So yummy! We had chicken, couscous with dattes in it, salad and lots of red wine flowing. Later that night we went a candiene bar, The Moose where a lot of the guys like to go to watch American football games.
